Exerting

Equipped item cards can be exerted within reason and with GM discretion:

  • During perils, even after dice have been rolled, to automatically pass the peril.

  • During combat, even after dice have been rolled, to add +3 of the card’s respective symbols to your roll.

Instead of destroying the item, the item becomes broken, losing all of its benefits and becoming unequippable.
